Once You’ve Arrived
Your pet will be examined by a triage technician who will check their vital signs, such as heart rate and temperature, and review their symptoms with you. As an ER, our patients are seen in order of urgency, not arrival – this means that pets in the most severe need of help will be seen first. Pets who are in stable condition (not in immediate danger) may be asked to wait with you until a doctor is available.
A veterinarian will perform a full physical exam of your pet and speak with you to work out a plan for diagnostic and treatment options, including an estimate of costs.
After Your Visit
Your primary care veterinarian will be notified that your pet visited our ER, and we’ll provide them with treatment and follow-up information to continue your pet’s care once you leave our hospital.
Overnight Stays
Many pets are seen as outpatients, meaning they can return home the same day. For inpatients who require ongoing care and hospitalization, our hospital can provide 24-hour care.
